Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To protect and serve the filipino community. To save lives and properties during time of emergencies, disasters and calamities.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
One of the top issues facing fire responders in the Philippines is the non coordination on fire fighting efforts of the private fire volunteers and the fire responders from the Philippine Government - the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) which is by law, mandated and tasks to respond to all fire incidents, investigate the causes of fire, enforce fire related laws, and provide emergency medical and rescue services during the outbreaks of fires, emergencies, disasters and calamities with the ultimate goal of saving lives and properties. The absence of coordination during fire and emergency responses sometimes lead to compromise the fire fighting effort that yield negative or bad result which sometimes increases the number of fire victims and damages to properties. The deficiencies of some laws, regulations, and procedures to include the lack of penal provisions on some of the laws provided in the Philippines pertaining to emergency responses leads these private fire volunteers responding in the scene to do what they want to do without coordinating their actions with the fire and emergency responders of the government responding on the scene who usually act as the fire ground commander.

I am a Firefighter/EMT and recent graduate from the Fire Academy at IRSC. I grew up making music and since I am still on the hunt for a fire job, I found myself inspired to make Firefighter Tribute Songs to honor this amazing industry. Here is a link to my website where you can hear and see my songs and videos. I hope you enjoy them.
