About Me:
I started my career as a volunteer firefighter, I began taking as many classes as I could through Georgia Fire Academy to build up my resume and get a job as a paid firefighter. I went to EMT school as well and soon enough I got on with a Metro Atlanta area fire rescue department. I have numerous classes from Georgia Fire Academy as well as the National Fire Academy. I am a member of my department's HMRT and I am a paramedic, also I am currently attending a local college to get a Fire Science degree
I am a second generation firefighter/paramedic and company officer. I never wanted to do anything else.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
the way my sons look up to me.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
understaffing and underfunding.
More about me
What to say that is not in the about me? I have two sons 3 1/2 & 22months old. I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I returned home in June of 2006 after one year in country. I spent the first year of my tour in Iraq in the infamous Triangle of Death just outside Baghdad close to the beginning of the Anbar Province. Even though I was seperated from my young family for a year and a half including train up, I am proud to be a combat veteran. I did not include the name of my agency or it's location because our department's administration holds a negative view toward MySpace and anything that looks remotely like it so I can't put anything online with my department's name or anything like that, I have to be very careful about what I put on my profile. If you want to know what agency I work for or where it is I will be happy to send it to you in an email or MySpace message. I am currently attending classes to get my A.A.S. in Fire Science, after that I plan to transfer to a B.A. program for Public Safety Leadership, & eventaully go to graduate school. I am hoping to make Captain this year and eventually I want to be a Fire Chief somewhere.
There are some very good videos on these sites, lots of good opportunities to learn from other departments whether they do it right or it may be an example of what not to do.

We have a Level II Entry Team here in NW Tennessee, we cover 9 counties. Training classes can be tough to find around these parts - we're always looking for what others are doing and how they're doing it. How long is your Toxicology class and who puts it together for yall?
