I am currently a junior firefighter with the Oak Ridge Fire Dept. and the rookie of the year for 2012.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I have wanted to be a firefighter since I found out my dad was a firefighter and so was his sister (my aunt) when I was about 10 years old.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I love being a firefighter because I am there to help people on a really bad day and try to make it better by doing whatever I can to make sure they are safe and taken care of and I get the chance to meet a lot of people and make a lot of friends while learning how to save lives.
