Why I Joined Fire/EMS
There are many reasons why a person should join the fire service. A primary reason is Community service. That leads right into the next reason to join, self esteem. People in the Fire service know they are unique and special, respected as heroes by all. For me, it was actually a traumatic fire event that took place in my years as a teen. You see, a guy actually tried to set our house ablaze. This changed me in a major way, my whole outlook towards fire and its uniqueness.
