Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My uncle was a paramedic with El Paso EMS and when I was little my cousin and I would always talk about how when we grew up we would be like our uncle and become a paramedic and help save lives.
When I got closer to graduating from High School, I ran into a friend from Junior High that was working for one of the local fire departments and we started talking about his job and what he did, this conversation, along with my uncle working as a paramedic, pretty much secured my dream to become a Fire Fighter/ Paramedic.
I love my job and cannot believe it has been 17 years since I first signed up to do this career.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I love the thrill and excitement of the job but I also love being able to help and make a difference in peoples lives.
