At approximately 10:30PM on Sunday, November 12, 2023, Melbourne police officers responded to the area 438 North Harbor City Boulevard just south of Babcock Street and North Harbor City Boulevard regarding a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle had sustained life-threatening injuries and succumbed to those injuries as a result of the crash.

Initial investigation reveals the driver of a Dodge truck failed to navigate a curve while traveling northbound on North Harbor City Boulevard. The vehicle veered off of the roadway and subsequently struck a sign and utility pole located on the east shoulder of the roadway. The crash is still under investigation.
