Toronto Fire Service's Hazardous Materials Unit - Fuel Spill in Ashbridges Bay

April 4, 2011 - Ashbridges Bay
Toronto fire HAZMAT responded to Lakeshore and Coxwell area after a substance, initially thought to be diesel or home heating fuel, was found leaking from storm drains into the lake.

Booms were laided to try and contain the spill.


The Ministry of the Environment, Hydro One, Toronto Fire, the Port Authority and city crews were all at the scene as part of the cleanup effort.
