In a coordinated effort, Canadian Chemical Producers' Association member companies put together a TransCAER, (Transportation Community Awareness Emergency Response), presentation to over 300 Toronto firefighters, including Toronto Fire Hazmat, the week of October 1 at Univar Canada's Downsview site.

With assistance from the RAC and Railway 101 Consulting, 24 sessions took place over a period of 5 days to educate firefighters about railway operations, safety and initial response to dangerous goods incidents.
