just FYI for the people looking at this, this is what we call the Elkhart load, it consists of 400 ft. dead loaded with a 2 1/2 nozzle 1 1/4 tip, connected to 100 ft. of 1 3/4 with an Elkhart Brass Chief nozzle with the spin off to smoothbore tip. We bundle the 2 1/2 nozzle with the 1 3/4 hose so when you take this load off you aren't dragging the nozzle. This is a very versatile hose lay.
Need to start with a blitz attack? spin off the 1 3/4 do what you need to do, attach the 1 3/4 and do some mop up.
Want to move further away from the house fire so your truck company can get in and do there work?
Don't want to take your engine down that alley?
Rural area's is some of your houses sitting over 100ft. off the road?
Make a lay that fits your department, this is a modified Chicago skid load.
