September 2008 a 30 yr male finds a 6ft Eastern Brown Snake in his garage. His male ego takes over and he attacks it with a shovel. Within seconds he was bitten several times on the legs and arm, his wife hears her husband's screams, rushes to his aid. The family's German Shephard & Rottweiler take up the fight and both are bitten about the face. The wife rings 000 for an Ambulance which was luckily in the area at the time. She renders first aid to her husband who has already gone into a coma. Both dogs have also collasped and are going into their final death throes. The snake although itself is dying, back broken and numerous body punctures which will take sometime before it will succumb to its wounds.
