3 am tone for a working structure fire, 2 doors down from our station and next door to the school. It was -16 BEFORE factoring in wind chill. 7 departments responded. Total loss, everyone safe. Later that day, we responded mutual aide to another WSF, where it got as cold as -22. 3 more calls followed that, one of which had a driveway so steep and icy, our chains broke on the new tanker and we went down it sideways/backwards. No where to go but a tree, a ditch or the river. Good times!
