mike! sometimes look through the trouble of feeding lines, one forgets to put their personal safety equipment, I'm inn also true driver and I forget my safety equipment, maybe that's what we need to Chileans, not only worry about the security features and being a firefighter entering a burning ...

what really concerns me about this photograph is that the firefighter operating the pump panel is NOT wearing a fire helmet... if one of the couplings bursts, the corresponding head injury will prevent her from any future involvement in the fire service as well as the very high potential for all the other goodies that go along with head injuries such as stroke, paralysis, memory issues, taste, touch, etc...

bottom line here... risk vs. benefit points towards wearng the appropriate safety gear including a turnout jacket verses a tank top.

reality check... now I realize that this is in another country but the safety lessons here need to be brought up so this practice is not copied nor followed by folks who know better.

just my opinion here... don't mean to trash talk the firefighters in Chile.
