We use a human and one sandman too. I have others photos with more real simulation.

By the way,we also carry on this kind of drill like what you showed us in the picture,we used two "rescue 8" as the buffering system, one guy held the guiding line on the ground. There were two ropes making up the guiding system,a shorter one and a longer one. Both ends of the shorter rope were attached on the both sides of the sb,and the longer rope(guiding line) was attached on the middle part of the shorter rope with a carabiner, making the shorter rope like a "triangle" with the hualing force of the fireman who was on the ground. So all the guiding system only needs two ropes, one shorter and the other is little longer.

I suggest you should put a 60kg sandman(a human shape sandbag)into the sb in order to make your drill more practical.More, you could also find the flaw of your drill in a practical drill.Let's put it this way,Lt,the heavier load you put in the st,the tougher drill you will suffer. But as you carrt on your drill in a hard way,you could get more experience which will perhaps the best thing when you are engaged in a real battle, what do you say?Lt.

The stoke basket is down, and the guiding line is only to stay away from wall, so one guiding line is sufficient. There no victims in the stoke basket, is only for learning...

Buddy,I think the end of the guiding line(the rope held by the guy on the yard to lead the stoke basket to a right angle) should be "triangle" belayed, that's how we keep bothsides of the stoke basket in balance.I couldn't understand whether you guys were hualing the stokebasket up or make it down,if you were there hualing the stokebasket up,where is the hualing line?Buddy.
