The Fire Department in Peoria, Illinois selected the Hackney Haz-Mat configuration with the rear incident command center. The unit features over 800 cu. ft. of bulk equipment storage, along with a three man incident command center with hard-line and cellular telephone service, computer terminals and ample work space. A 25kw PTO generator is mounted inside the front compartment to protect the components from corrosive road spray. A 6000 watt NightScan light tower is mounted on the roof. The chassis is a FL70 Freightliner with 300 hp Cummins.
