In Australia we have 3 types of Crocodile The Estuarine or Salty, The Johnsons River or freshy & a little known Pygmy Croc. The freshy grows to about 9ft and pygmy grow to 4ft, both will bite but are considered harmless.
The Salty on the other hand is like a ocean going submarine, has been found 1000s of miles off shore. They can project themself out of water up to their rear legs, holding that height with little effort.

The Estuarine or Salty have been known to grow in excess of 25ft. to give you a better idea to the size and intellegence of this creature, watch a video called "Lake Placid", "Black Water" or another called "Rogue"
