Our department trains each month on the basics, and tries to put a new "spin" on things to keep it fresh. We do extrication, water rescue, SAR (last year had a geriatric element to it) apparatus, hazmat, emergency vehicle ops and driving, CPR, ice rescue, forcible entry, and PPE/injury prevention. There is so much to train on and so little time to schedule training.

Wish our departments would train on something like this, seems like our Chief only want's us to train on Apperatus & SCBA's which is good don't get me wrong, but I feel our department should ex-spand on training a bit.
