Maryland Department of the Environment Emergency Response Team: MVA/hydraulic fluid leak

July 20th, 2010 - Carroll County, Maryland: Maryland Department of the Environment Emergency Response Team responded to an MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) on Route 27 and Kate Wagner Road.

The accident involved a car that collided head-on into a garbage truck. MDE Emergency Response Team was called to incident to provide HAZMAT assistance because of the large amount of hydraulic fluid that was leaking from the truck.

The only occupant of the car was it's driver who tragically expired at the scene. No one in the trash truck was harmed.
