FOSTER TOWNSHIP(SCHUYLKILL COUNTY), PA - On January 10, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. the Foster Township and Cass Township Fire Departments (which includes the Heckschersville-Clover, Forestville and South Cass fire companies) was dispatched to 81 Hill Road in Foster Township for a possible house fire. The 911 center received multiple calls of the working fire and then was later confirmed by police.

The dispatch center then dispatched Minersville EMS, Minersville, Pottsville City, and Frackville Fire Departments. The first firefighters arrived in a minutes and found heavy smoke coming from the historic mansion home. The fire continued to spread quickly and began to move to the roof. Chief 350 ordered all fire fighters out the structure to perform defensive operations. He then ordered tanker task forces to scene to assist with the rural hydrant system.

The fire eventually overtook the building and lead to a collapse of the roof. Multiple exterior hose lines and elevated master stream operated on the fire. Fire fighters were then allowed to reenter the home to overhaul and extinguish hidden fire. The units were then able to take up and then released after 12:00 hours at noon.
