January 18, 2011 -
Two people were transported to area hospitals when a tanker carrying propane overturned on eastbound I-70, near Mount Airy on Sunday morning, shutting down all three travel lanes and two of three westbound lanes for more than five hours. The tanker was hoisted by two cranes as emergency personnel and members of the Maryland Department of Environment emergency response team determined if the tanker could be driven from the scene.
