I was on this fire, we got there after main fire attack but I do know that they had operations on the oposite side of the structure. I agree though there should have been a heel man right there. Sadly until someone gets hurt complacancy comes into play at times. I will address this issue with my chief. Thank you. PJ I didn't see you, I saw your dad.....hate I missed ya. Be safe.

Not to be a critic but where is the buttman on the ladder. I had a bad experience where i was working off the ladder at a 2 story house fire and my buttman walked away when i was half way up the ladder when it slid off the house. fortunately i landed in a big snow pile that really cusioned my fall. Thank god it wasnt in the summer time. I also noticed that there isnt a charged line on the roof or even ready to be taken up. My chief would have chewed my tail for that. Once again i appoligize for being a critic because none of us are perfect and looking at this i have seen the same things on our dept.

I'm hoping that there was at least one other firefighter on that roof with him!
