No suppression system on board...not required by the Code. Not really too close. His backup is approaching and he's not in the line of fire from the potentially airborne bumpers. The station operator shut off the pumps from inside the store. Once that's done, it's two vehicles burning under a high ceiling overhang which causes the smoke to mushroom and the fire seem more spectacular than it really was.

Here's a nice call. Could happen in any town that has a gas station or fuel stop. The danger is always there. Is it a fully operational gas station? If so, What happened to the fire suppression system at this gas station? Did it have one built in from above?
A lot of questions can arise from this photo as with many photos. Safety, safety, safety. If this is an operational gas station FF "A" is way to close with out a charged hand line with what could happen here and where's my back up? Where's my second line? Where's the foam?
The other photos show the job being done and the suppression was a success. Stay safe, train often and share knowledge.
