June 19, 2007 - Eldersburg, Maryland: Baltimore County Fire Dept. Hazardous Material Unit 114 responding to a report of unknown fumes at a WalMart store.
At 3:30pm local fire units and county HAZMAT were dispatched when several employees at the store complained of a burning sensation in their eyes, throats and skin. The store was evacuated and secured.
HAZMAT entered the store, but the odor had dissipated, and air quality readings were in the normal range. The all-clear was given at approximately 6:45pm, and the store was reopened.
Seven store employees were evaluated by EMS crews, but refused treatment or transport to the hospital. No one else was injured.
It should be noted that the truck in this image is an older version of HAZMAT 114.
