The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department and Alstar Ambulance Service organizes mock DWI drills at each school district in the county on a rotating basis. Each district gets a drill every two years. They coordinate with local fire departments, police, county coroners, and school SADD groups to put on the even which includes a short house party skit followed by the extrication which simulates a two car collision with a DOA, field sobriety tests, extrications, and one PT flown out (one of the students) by helicopter.
For time constraints this year (the school district's request, not our suggestion 'cause we are quick) we pre-cut both cars the night before the drill.
Personally, I think it's more effective when the audience hears the metal crumple, screech, and groan when we cut the vehicle.
