Indialantic Fire Dept, Brevard County Fire Rescue with Brevard County Ocean Rescue water rescue
Two young teenage girls on an inflatable raft were caught in a rip current just south of the Melbourne Beach Florida city limits. The seas were calm but thunder storms a lightning was in the area plus there was an off shore wind. The girls father noticed that the girls were drifting out to sea, he used a surfboard and headed out to assist them while another lady called the fire department. Brevard County Ocean Rescue responded and put swimmers in the water, Indialantic Fire Dept. launched their jet ski from a local park and headed out to help, while Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 63 manned the beaches. Every one made it safely back to shore and reunited with their family.
