BUFFALO, NY 8/10/13 0154 HRS Buffalo Fire Department was dispatched for a structure fire at 73 Milburn. Engine 22 arrived on location reporting a 2 story vacant structure with heavy fire on the 1st floor extending into the 2nd. A few moments after arrival the Officer of Engine 22 reported a second vacant 2.5 story structure with heavy fire and requested a second alarm be dispatched. The second address was 93 Milburn.  The 2 alarm was transmitted at 0158. Division Chief Britzzalaro took command and advised the responding units to focus attack on 73 Milburn, which had an occupied exposure on the number 2 side. Since there were issues with hydrants in the area the chief decided not to aggressively attack 93 Milburn. The Chief requested a 3rd alarm at 0207. The fire was declared under control at 0255 and remains under investigation.
