Nice terminology, way that you used the term "fire plug". It dates back to the old days when the city plumbing was hollow logs, and they were dug out to pull water from. When the operation was finished, they used a wooden "plug" to stop the hole...

I personally use the term fire plug myself, but only recently realized its true meaning.
