1987 Spartan/Van Pelt 1500/500. FHFD's reserve engine came to us from the Tucson, AZ fire department in 2002. The rig has over 136,000 miles on it and shows numerous battle scars; but it continues to be a very strong performer. I've been unable to track this engine's history, but I'm sure it's fascinating.
