I was arriving on scene just at Holy Name Church when the mayday came in. It didn't really dawn on me until I saw the jakes being carried out and CPR being performed. I hope to never have to see that again.

Tai Ho [spelling]. It all went wrong. Gus on the roof knew they were in trouble. L25's emergency signal went off but they didnt answer the radio. Then L10 called Fire Alarm to say the roof was getting soft and they were evacuating. Five minutes later it went in. EMS was requested in a hurry and then the IC asked for all companies to meet in the front of the building with a riding list. That meant accounting for all members. I reviewed the CAD log with my Lieutenant and started to get sick to my stomach. I hope this wasnt arson. God Bless and stay safe.
