As a young child in Oak Harbor in the early '60's, it was a Sunday family tradition to stop at Kow Korner for lunch, after church. It was THE place for hamburgers in Oak Harbor, and the quintessential '60's burger joint--walk-up service windows, teenage girls in cowboy hats, and basic, inexpensive fast food. I was devastated when I found out it had closed. It was a significant piece of my early childhood.
