DCFD was called at approximately 18:30 on Saturday March 3, 2007, for Mutual aid with Tanker-1 to the neighboring department of Ashaway. Dunn's Corners along with crews from Hope Valley, Bradford, North Stonington, and Old Mystic supplied manpower and water supply to Ashaway's non-hydrant zoned scene. Upon Ashaway's arrival, flames billowed out of all of the front and right side windows on the first and second floors, it had been determined that the house had already been too far gone to be saved and the most necessary form of attack would be an aggressive exterior attack to in an effort to protect neighboring properties. This required many thousands of gallons of water. Tanker 1 assisted Bradford in setting up a fill site, and transferred several thousand gallons of water to the fire scene. Tanker 1 was returned to quarters at approximately 23:00 that evening with thanks as Ashaway would remain on scene with state fire marshals overhauling the remainants of the house steadily until sunday afternoon.
