This accident happened on 10/10/08 in our response area. Driver in the green car failed to "slow down and move over" at the scene of an accident. She struck the state trooper's car. Her speedometer said 75. The investigation continues with charges pending, but here in Illinois, we have "Scott's Law" and if she is charged under it, she faces a $10,000 fine and 2 year suspension of her license.
She and the trooper were transported. The other two vehicles involved received minor damage and no injuries to the occupants. My neice's daughter and her three friends was one of the vehicles involved.
