I've seen the video. It was made and distributed by the Kootenai group out of British Columbia, Canada.
The photo is a river crossing during the evacuation of an injured climber several miles into rugged mountains. Several other ropes had already been taken farther in to set up some lowers. We normally used double track lines and belayed tag lines, but in this case the elevation was so low that the remaining single track line and belayed tag lines were used.
The highline choice here was made to avoid a low-angle lower, a rugged river crossing over uneven boulders, water, and lots of leg-breakers during a very cold day, and then a low-angle raise. The risk-reward decision paid off in this case.
Hey Ben, if you haven't seen it, get a hold of the video, "The What If of Highline Failures"- a great video and an absolute eye opener!!!! I can't rmember who put it together, but it is produced in the USA....
