FASNY has partnered with the National Propane Gas
Association and the NYS Office of Fire Prevention & Control to bring this training program to St. Lawrence County.
This course will involve both classroom and hands-on
training activities. Participation will assist registrants in
developing the knowledge and skills necessary to safely
and effectively operate at fixed site or transportation
emergencies involving propane.
This is a “need-to-know” course for Training Officers,
Safety Officers and anyone in the department that
would be responsible for handling a propane emergency.
• All participants are required to provide
OSHA-approved full turnout gear
• Every participant must have SCBA, and a
spare tank is recommended.
• No Explorers or Juniors may participate in the live burn training
• Three-hour OSHA credit will be awarded.
• PRE-REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY
RECOMMENDED! “At the door” registration
will NOT be guaranteed.
Course fee is $5 for FASNY members, and $15 for non-FASNY members, with pre-registration (or $20 at the door regardless of membership status). Pre-registration cutoff is five business days prior to the start of class.
