Rowhouse Fire Kills Two Boys, Injures Eight In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - Fire officials say a blaze in a North Philadelphia row house has left two young boys dead and injured eight others, including four other children.

Authorities say the fire in the Olney section of the city was reported just before noon Tuesday. Fire crews declared the flames under control about 45 minutes later.

Officials say the bodies of two young boys were found dead.

Authorities say four other children, ranging in age from two months to 10 years old, were also taken to hospitals. So were four adults, including two men taken to Temple University Hospital with severe burns.

There was no immediate word on what started the blaze, but Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers says Investigators were looking at several overloaded electrical outlets as a possible cause.
