WATERBURY, Conn. - Waterbury officials say a fire at a city apartment building that displaced 10 people may have been intentionally set.

Firefighters say flames were shooting out of the building at Austin Heights Apartments off Austin Road when they arrived there at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Deputy Fire Chief David Martin says it appears the fire began outside the building and it spread to two apartments. He says the cause appears suspicious.

Authorities say one person suffered a minor injury.

The city fire marshal's office and city police are investigating.
