Been a firefighter for 18 yrs. and still love the job. I'm the Lt. of the lead engine our unit 221. I've been lt. for about 10yrs. now.

I'm a truck driver fulltime.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I moved up to Glenburn when I was 21 and met a friend who was a firefighter on the fire dept. and asked him what I need to do to be a firefighter. I've been doing it for 18 yrs. now and still love it. I have been a Lieutenant for about 10 yrs. We are only volunteers and we love to serve our community.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Knowing that i'm able to help people in our community that need our help when they call.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

All the training and paper work that is now required by OSHA and others. Being a volunteer dept. we're not always at the station to keep up with this stuff like we would be if we were a career dept.
