Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I always wanted to be an EMT-IV. There is a lot of law enforcement and medical in my family. I am just following in the foot steps. I have a lot of friends in EMS/FF, I have done several ride along with Ambulance service. This has been a life long career dream of mine. It is what God called me to do.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

To be there for people when they feel thier worst. It is so comforting when you think you are dying, and you have your emt and paramedic there, and they know exactly what they are doing.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Some of the responses are really slow, you have a wide open road ahead of you, 2am, no traffic, and the medic is doing 55 in a 45 speed zone on a 4 ln strait stretch road, when they could of gotten to the scene a lot faster if they would of just floored it. But I know we have to do safe code 3 at all times. But seconds count.
