Funeral arrangements have been made for fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Charles Cassidy



There will be a viewing Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home. That's at 10975 Academy Road in northeast Philadelphia.



A second viewing will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul at 17th and Race streets.



The viewings are open to the public.

Philadelphia Police Officer Dies In The Line Of Duty

Officer Charles Cassidy, the Philadelphia police officer who unknowingly walked into an armed holdup on Wednesday morning, died of a gunshot wound to the head on Thursday morning, police said.



The killer is still on the loose.



Cassidy, 54, a husband and father of three, was shot in the head when he walked into a West Oak Lane Dunkin' Donuts for a routine check on Wednesday at about 10:30 a.m.

Walt hows it going??? i haven't talked to you in a while...were you on the save???? and hows it going on warminster???? i'm still with station 42 and 73 when i'm down that way....42's said that i'm going to be LT 42 come the new year....but it's hard when you go from 600 calls a year at 73's to 110 at 42's....so i might be looking to move back towards the lower end....then i'll be closer to my daughter to....well hope to hear how your doing....

Hey, Bro! Been busy with the new job. I was in the hospital on Halloween for kidney stones. Thought I was giving birth! Finallt feeling better todsay. Tomorrow night's the FD banquet. i was planning on getting trashed, now I can't with the meds I'm on. Sucks! LOL Hope ya doing good & best of luck iwth the new job!
