This is how I as an alcoholic drank off duty and how bad it got, to the point of suicide.http://ineverwantedtobeafirefighter.blogspot.com/

In Light of Robin Williams Suicide

I know it's been a long time since I've posted but I have been working on a new book and it is almost done. It's called Saving Heroes and it is all about firefighter suicides and to help firefighters over come this terrible choice. I have launched a Indigogo campaign and I need help getting the word out about it, please help.   …

Firefighters we get visited by ghosts.

It was a dark and stormy night, really it was. The heavens had opened up in Colorado once again; the streets were running with hot stinky water, funky water that smelled of petroleum and death. Yeah, Tim, it's.good that you can speak your mind. That's the beauty of being retired, you now have that luxury and besides you've paid your dues.

Hi Timothy, First of all welcome to FFN. Thank you for your thirty one years of service. That is a long time, where you can truly say, been there and done that. Yet, it true what you say, it isn't way for us to express our feelings, even for those gifted as you; to put pen to paper. As for what you said in today's blog, is so true. Now a days, it's all about overload of sound bytes and graphic images. For the most part, it tends to desensitize people and causes them to expect more the next time around. Take care, brother!
