About Me:: Grew up in the fire service, Was in the Navy for 10.5 yrs and served on a vol. dept while in the Navy. Got out in 1995 and became a FF for Mt Pleasant Fire Department. Served 2 yrs and moved home to Illinois. Got on my home town department in 1999 and have been there ever since. Anything else just ask.

I live in Malibu, spent 3 years with LACoFD and CalFire preparing a novel about a boy who comes of age as a wildland firefighter at a helitak camp (Camp 8 LA County). The book has been well received and Fire Chief P. Michael Freeman of the LACoFD liked it enough to send it to the County Board of Supervisors.
