- Served 8 years as a volunteer with the Lineboro Vol. Fire Dept in Carroll County MD .... holding the positions of Dept Safety Officer for 3 yrs, Fire Lieutenant for 1yr 2 mo, and EMS Captain for 3 yrs. As well as serving as the supervisor for the Pt Paid staff of approx. 15 personnel.

About Me:

I am a 39 yo father of 2 boys ages 18 & 15. The 18 yo has followed the family interest and is currently serving as a active volunteer as a Firefighter I. I work as a Full-Time paid Firefighter/Paramedic with the Mt Airy Volunteer Fire Company and have for the past year and a half. We service the Southwestern portion of Carroll County Maryland, as well as, parts of Frederick County Maryland, Montgromery County Maryland, and Howard County Maryland. We service these counties with 1 Engine, 1 Engine Tanker, 1 Rescue, 1 Brush Truck, 3 Medic units, and 1 ALS equipted Life support chase vehicle. We work an great shift of 24 on/72 off. I enjoy my job more then any I have ever had. I have a great partner and many great and Knowledgeable co-workers.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

To give something back to the community in which I grow up in. As well as follow in the footsteps of several family members whom served in the fire service. Enjoyed the strong brotherhood that used to be a major part of the fire service.
