I believe the application process is done once a year around training time. I will find out for you and see if they are doing any hiring right now. Requirements are Firefighter II and EMT minimum.

I noticed your question on Scott's (Lt. Kirsch) page, We train once a year at the speedway usually in Dec. The race season starts in January for the Rollex race and then goes from there. The pitroad firefighters (what I do) job is to protect the crew and equipment at all times. There is fuel in each pit and constant movement of fuel tanks. We have to be ready at all times and at the wall during pit stops. Any fuel spills have to be cleaned up and reported. It is a cool gig like Lt. Kirsch said but it is also work we have to be fully bunkered out during the entire race ready to go. The Rolex race is about 30 hours in bunker gear with a short 2-4 hour break. Good talking to ya and see you at the races.
