About Me:

I am 24 years old, and the oldest of 4 brothers. Ages 20, 7, and 3. My 20 year old brother passed away in 2001 at age 11. I have been a volunteer firefighter for 5 years and a paid firefighter for 2 months. I love helping others, so the fire service is a perfect fit.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

It's actually kind of funny how I got into the fire service. I was right out of high school and was in college on my way to being an ag-teacher. I met some friends who were in the fire department, and just being around them sparked my interest. I got in the department and knew the trucks went on calls. It didn't take me long to figure out that this was for me.
