Stationed in 29 palms CA, not a lot happend here, and its pretty boring. Still debating on re-enlisting to go someplace better, or getting out and doin the job in the real world.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I've always wanted to be a firefighter, and i'm really glad the marines gave me this job. From the thrill of goin down the street with lights and sirens, too fighting fire, i love it all.

Nice pics of pit fires. Not to many places left that let you burn like that using real fuel. Now they train with pits that run on propane. Good luck in USMC stay low and safe. GO NAVY

Check out Roll Call Forum and put some info about your Fire House in... Like to hear what your station is like, what you have as well as for number for firefighters as well as number of calls. Pass it around to your Firefighter Friends too....

Well looking at your bio, first off that is one cool toy you got your hand on. It would perfect for moose hunting, but would there be any moose left.
I would stay in the Military, more chances there than in Civilian. Here I have written some time ago for a full time position. 1600 people writting for 20 jobs, then they break it down by taking those who got 95% or better as there first pick. So the odds are not the greatest in Canada for full time. Although you look at the 70's as those firefighters are now retiring and we are seeing a lot more openings. But my mistake was not getting into the military. At that time I was a Nurse and wanted to be part of the SAR Team.
