It may be the background; all we are missing is the height measurement.

not surprising, anyone in the fire rescue business for long knows what works and what doesn't and that includes turf battles. which never work. Unlike the politicians, no one gets in this business for the glory of it , because there isn't any. It's just about helping people and doing what is right. There are exceptions to every rule so maybe in teh future the city council will wise up .

Thanks for the info , do you know did NMDFA fund your consolidated dispatch PSAP equipment without Carlsbad being a part ? or did you get the equipment a different route?

Did Carlsbad buy their own PSAP equipment ?

Over here we are really locked up and so any additional info you can provide that might help get the county and the city to start moving on this would be welcomed.

I have been told Alamogordo bought their own PSAP but now want NMDFA to reimburse them and that is shutting out the county from getting theirs. The county SO runs a consolidate dispatch now (just not consolidated with the city of Alamogordo)

Aren't politics just grand --when will these elected officials stop their turf battles and look for the greater good.

Population wise, our regional has about 125,000 residents.... But, if you do three LE agencies, you're busy with that alone....

So we here in Otero county are having issues with NMDFA with regard to the new PSAPs. Has Eddy county received the new PSAP equipment? Are you folks running a consolidated dispatch? here the county and city are just fighting (going on 3 yrs now) on going to a combined dispatch center so we are running on the old PSAP equipment. I would like to hear how you folks are handling it.
