Looks like Jackson is on its usual last Saturday in April. I hope to make there for some treasure hunting.
Lost my regular job at the end of Feb 2008 after 16 years, looking for something related to the fire service/public safety.
Interviewed with the State of Michigan for "Hazardous Materials Storage Inspector", have not heard anything yet.
Currently, I work for 2 fire departments. Walker FD (paid on-call for 9 years) and Plainfield Township FD (part-time firefighter for 5 years).
I noticed your "leadership void" comment, its definitely true around here.
I am looking at 1 or 2 years with Wackenhut as a contract firefighter in Iraq if no other employment opportunities present themselves.
Maybe I see ya at Jackson.

Hope retirement is going good for you. I trust the PFD functions without you but not as well. Good Luck treasure hunting at Jackson this April. You and Deb take care.
