Chris: Been reading the discussion about venting and your responses. I am familiar with your "pencil" tactic, I taught that back in the late 1970s only I called it "spotting the ceiling". Would you be kind enough to share some info on your method of operation without venting. If you have a report of anyone trapped, do you use the same tactic versus any ventilation. My concern is the exposure time of trapped victims to the products of combustion. One of the problems we have here in the US concerning tactics is a closed mind or a mindset that states "Thats the way we have always done it". Thanks..John Kriska, Middleville, MI fckrisk@yahoo.com
