Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
Mill Creek Fire Company, Kennett Fire Department, St. Louis Fire Department, New Melle Fire Protection District (MO),
My Training:
I received my primary training at Delaware State Fire School and at the University of Missouri (Columbia) As an instructor I teach ground ladders, aerial operations and firefighter safety (RIT Teams)
About Me:
I'm a firefighter and a videojournalist who documents disasters and major emergencies in the United States and overseas. The program "After The Towers Fell", which features my video, airs on September 11, 2012, and I am currently producing a film dealing with the America's volunteer firefighters entitled "Last One Standing."
To help people -- and also to enjoy the adrenaline rush when you're wakened from a sound sleep at 2 in the morning, trying to find your bunker pants, stepping onboard the apparatus and racing to the fire at break-neck speeds.
Check out Roll Call Groups and put some info about your Fire House in... Like to hear what your station is like, what you have as well as for number for firefighters as well as number of calls. Pass it around to your Firefighter Friends too....Easy way to located this group is go to my site and look at the bottom left. Short cut if you have a hard time locating this.
Also as a Training Officer, theres the Trainers Corner too. Like to hear some of what your doing for training or what areas need to be addressed...
Hey Lou,
Good to see a you on the site! I don't know if you remember me, I was at Truck 15 with STLFD back when you used to ride with Squad 2. I used to sub over there a lot.
Hey Lou,
Thanks for writing back so fast! I'm sorry to hear about you losing so many friends and relatives on 9-11. I wondered if you were related to Joe Angeli. I send my address to ya', I'd love to get some DVD's. Anything left from St Louis?
About Vince, he went "home to be with the Lord" a few years ago. He's probably riding a Rescue Squad in Heaven! He was always a fireman! Stay safe brother!
hey Lou, when were you through Pattison? Yes Pheonix EMS is in service (with alot of money problems) i hear not able to cover payroll! Did you work for them? i would like to see the videos. you stay safe ttyl
Sue, I filmed a number of training videos in your neck of the woods. We rented one of Phoenix' rigs...or as they say in NYC "bus." More videos coming your way! Lou
Chester is now an all paid department. There are no more vollies in chester now. Not sure why. Chester has companies 81, 82, 83(when its staffed) THey have low income and not much manpower. That tower is the newest truck for Chester for Co. 82.
Hi Lou,
Nope, no real reason for the song, I just like it; I always have. I think it's one of the best-written songs ever....perhaps not so much lyrically, but certainly musically.
Thanks for stopping by!

I enjoy your videos and your writings. I especially got a kick out of what you love most about being a firefighter: talking on the radio.
That is so true. It's what every little boy dreams of. Well, and big boys too!
Stay safe. Train often.
