Why I Joined Fire/EMS: To help people and be apart of something good and to give some thing back to the community. Getting to run the lights is a plus.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: the friends you make and the people that you get to help when they are in trouble. being able to give some thing back to the community.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: fier fighters that rush into doing things with out thinking about what they r doing. when they should step back and look at everything as a whole. speeding to calls when its not worth your life or other peoples lives. not enough people during day time hours. no one to be able to drive the trucks. not enough man power.

Wow. Sweet. I want to do that. I am with Windham, NY. It's pretty small. I live in the Catskill Mountains, so it's in like the rural area. haha. I wanted to ALSO join the volunteer Dept. near my school. But Idk If I can. I think it might be like..."illegal" or something. haha. Ok maybe not illegal. But I think there is a law or something. I'm working on it. =]

They? You mean fire school? Nah. Ohio churns out almost 500 new firefighters every year, so it would be difficult to place them all. I paid for my own school, including EMT, and now I have to do the footwork myself, too.
