     any ideas on how to get our FF EMS folks to let us know when they or their faimileis are the ones hospitalized?   I just learned one of my FF had surgery  a week ago.  I would have visitied, had I known.  so how do we get these folks to open up?dann houghton

  • Funding for Chaplains?

    I was recently talking to a friend about my volunteer work as Chaplain and me currently being out of a job. He suggested that there may be grants available for a fire department Chaplain. Does anyone know of anything along this line?

  • stop church to pray

    I serve a church as well as the local fire ems team.  This morning, in the middle of my sermon, my pager went off.  Of course I couldn't respond (and wasn't needed) but I stopped the sermon and we prayed for the crew that was headed out.  We also do this whenever we hear a siren.  I'm just…
